I Love Words

I love words. Big words and little words. Local words and words of all nations. Stringing them together, taking them apart. Working to build bridges and worlds. Using them to express, to amuse and to discover.

For most of my life, my words were used just personally and in a professional life that included an MBA from MIT, senior marketing positions American Express, Avis, Barnes & Noble, and more, and 10 years as an entrepreneur.

Now, though, I’m living my dream of writing, regularly living in the land of letters. I’ve been very fortunate to be published in The New York Times Modern Love Tiny Love Stories (thrice!), The Boston Globe, and Multiplicitymagazine.com, among others.

I was born on Long Island, New York, also briefly calling Boston and Phoenix home. My true geographic love, though, is Manhattan, where I lived most of my adult life. There I wrote wherever MacBook could travel, finding a martini (vodka in winter, gin in summer, olives in all seasons) a helpful cure for my writer’s block. I now live with my husband, Charles in the state of Florida and denial. It’s what can happen when you love a golfer.
